The elephant's new home is a 2,700-acre sanctuary in Tennessee that for all we know may be Fred Thompson's campaign headquarters. To most Republicans these days, the place must sound like heaven. It has a Kaus-like fence to keep out unwanted immigrants. The only people allowed to visit are big donors. According to a Humane Society official, "The Elephant Sanctuary represents the future of enlightened captive elephant management"—a concept very much on the minds of every Republican presidential candidate. The Republican field could learn a great deal from the Tennessee program, especially its "non-invasive research on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder." If only the sanctuary had done some nontraumatic research on post-invasion stress disorder. The sanctuary even has its own YouTube—the Elecam.

But pages focused on complementary or alternative medicine are 15 times more likely to make misleading claims and contain other false information, a new study says. Moreover, standard measures of quality developed to assess the accuracy of Web pages don't really work, said the authors of the study, published in the March 15 issue of the journal Cancer. "There is no completely reliable Web site, but the bottom line is more information is always better. But consider the source and be cautious in interpreting what you read," said study senior author Dr. Funda Meric-Bernstam, associate professor of surgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. "The good news is 95 percent of the information is correct," added Dr.

So I offered my services for a few hours today, since I'm supposed to be off. Ink-stained wretch to record-store nerd. Love it. I'll be keeping up with the blog on my laptop while I fulfill what once seemed a dream job for me — working in a record store (I didn't understand you weren't going to get rich working in such a store. Mel Smith flicks V at smoking ban
I have never smoked and i dont intend to smoke a cigar so why should I suffer his if i go along to the performance? I dont think its absolutely necessary that he has to smoke the cigar during the performance. He can use it as a prop for sure but why light the blasted thing. The law was designed to stop smoking in enclosed places which is fine cos people now smoke outside and walking around the place. Consequently the cigarette butts are piling up. I think its pathetic that they are so addicted to nicotine that smokers have to stand outside in all weathers just to get another fix instead of staying in the pub relaxing. .
