I ask because we're dealing with a situation that is beyond freaky, the concept that two quarterbacking sons of a former NFL quarterback each would win a Super Bowl in successive seasons. Best international cities to dine in now
Whether it's Belgrade or Buffalo, every resident thinks his or her city has great restaurants. Most cities have their strengths—the kebab shops on every street in Istanbul, the taquerias in Guadalajara, the dim sum parlors in Shanghai, the sushi bars in Kyoto. Of course. There's fabulous seafood in Venice, wondrous tapas in San Sebastián and scores of terrific steakhouses in Buenos Aires. But to be named a great restaurant city, there must be more than the usual levels of gastronomy; we expect the down-home and rustic as well as highfalutin' and haute cuisine. No longer can any six cities in France claim to lead the world—or even Europe—as citadels of great food; nor can a city like Las Vegas claim its slew of big-ticket restaurants compare with the breadth and depth of those culinary capitals that built their food culture over centuries.
Recruiting | Success in the state key to UW's class
The Washington Huskies signed one of their best classes in years today, recruiting analysts agree. What's a little harder to gauge is how much that means. Washington's class was rated No. 10 in the nation and No. 2 in the Pac-10 by Scout.com as of Tuesday morning, and No. 18 nationally and third in the Pac-10 by Rivals.com. Those numbers could vary a little, but probably not a lot, giving the Huskies their loftiest rankings of the Tyrone Willingham era. "It's easily their best class in some time," said Greg Biggins, a recruiting analyst for Rivals.com and StudentSportsFootball.com. "It's probably the best year for in-state talent in a lot of years, and they've pretty much gotten everybody they wanted [in the state]. "There were a lot of really good in-state guys like Kavario Middleton and Everrette Thompson that in the past might have left the state, and they were able to keep those guys.

Readers will find themselves naturally playing casting director while reading this good-hearted comedy of manners, because the novel (knowingly) plays off so many romantic-comedy conventions that Meg Ryan could ask for a cut of the royalties. Under Peter Russell's Wall Street suit beats the heart of a wistful romantic. He's always dreamed of love at first sight, and when Holly plunks down in the seat next to him on a New York-L.A. flight with her copy of "The Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann (which just happens to be the only German novel Peter's ever read), he can't believe his good fortune. Five life-changing hours later, Holly gives her phone number to Peter.
